 All Young Wizards Academy parties are highly organized by entertainers that have performed 100’s of parties. We arrive as Characters but are full entertainers providing an experience to the kids.  The show, characters and props are very real and very believable to the kids.  Young Wizards Academy parties all include costumes for each and every child to wear throughout the party and a sword, saber or wand to keep with them to take home.

 

We have performed parties in some of the biggest locations in Vancouver, the Vancouver Club, Terminal City Club, Arbutus Club and even the Vancouver Film School.  Yet we also perform the smallest of birthday in your living room too!   We can train kids from ages 3 years old to 16 years and host 5 kids to 40 kids at one time.  

We come to your home, rec center, activity room or park throughout Vancouver including Coquitlam, Richmond, port Moody and out to Surrey and Maple Ridge.  We have performed   birthday parties to children at Daycares. This is a Themed birthday in the Potter Series of parties. All the kids get to sit under the sorting hat, which actually does talk (The Hat was designed by a movie prop maker in Vancouver) Even mom and dad seem to want to find out what house they would be in.  Kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity!

 

 

Through the use of some amazing and creative magic the kids actually get to shoot their wands for the first time and really get to stretch their targeting skills in learning how to capture live pixies.  Very exciting !

Cool Ideas for Decorating in this party! Creating a Castle Brick wall ..  The brick wall was made from a light blue sheet that I picked up at Walmart.  I cut and trimmed it to fit our front doorway, then drew the bricks on with a black or brown Sharpie pen.  You can also cut the slit in the center for the kids to run through into another world. Also spray painted it red to give it a brick color, keeping the spray can at a bit of a distance so as to create an uneven look.

Awesome Kids Birthday Party Ideas and tips. I quite often get asked what makes a great party.   Here’s a few tips I have learned over the year performing at hundreds of birthday parties at Young Wizards Academy. Link here:  Kids Birthday Parties Coquitlam

 

1.       Your Space:  Weather it be your living room to a Coquitlam or Port Coquitlam Rec Center room or park, it’s best if you have the birthday party performer arrive in an open space.  Quite often I arrive and mom has taken out the coffee table from the room and pushed the couches back to the wall. This is usually enough space to host 10 to 12 kids comfortably.  Downstairs Rec rooms are nice as long as you put away the toys and video games and its distracting for the kids and the performer has to work harder to create entertainment.  Rec centers are great as their rooms are bigger just be sure to keep chairs and tables off to the side and leave an open space for the kids to sit or move around.

 

2.       Timing:  It’s best to have the guests arrive before the entertainer as most entertainers have a grand entrance to the party. You are paying allot of money so you don’t want the entertainer standing around waiting for kids to arrive.  It’s usually best to have the entertainment first then go into food and cake and presents.  That seems to be the usually timeline that parent follow.  On some occasions if it’s a late party like 5pm start time kids might need to be fed first as their attention is limited around that time without food.

 

3.       Entertainment :  Look for an entertainer that has good communication with you responds back to your requests and answers all your question in regards to the birthday shows.  That way you can get a good idea of their personality and passion level for what they do and how they will be with kids.

Our camp includes all of the cool basic training a young Master needs. Children get to create their own character, develop their balance and coordination through fun master training games and experience becoming an action hero.



Kids begin the day at the Force Within Temple(Yoga Studios) where they learn agility and movements and learn master their inner balance. As the day unfolds they experience cool trek through Endor Forest where they arrive at a young ones training grounds where they continue their training with a rope obstacle course and games to build their skills. It’s now time to go on top secret missions through the uncharted forest! Who’s know who may pop out of the forest as the young pupils must prove their new abilities with the saber.  This is the ultimate imagination adventure camp!!

Activities through the Week:

Character Development – All Kids get to create their very own character name, origin, special ability. They create their very own power action and practice it in movement & dueling. Kids also discover and learn their own special power move and pose.
Master trials – Kids learn to walk, jump and spin like a master. Experience fun yoga and stretching to prepare their body’s and minds to prepare them for the rigor’s of the day.  Also learn cool games that teach them how to be still and not be detected on missions.
Saber Training – Several types are sabers are used throughout week. Kids begin with the foam saber. They can work their way up to Fx Illuminated saber then they must also learn the double extendable blade saber.

Forest Missions – Teams will have a mission briefing then lead by a master to go on certain missions to retrieve objects, search for clues and symbols, and defend borders from invaders using their saber…… Not all people in the forest are on the light side!    Prepare to battle you must.

NEW– NERF Aliance Blaster Training. Target practice, capture the flag & team base battles.

Education and Development -Force building arts & crafts. Learn first hand knowledge of the galaxy far far away. Yes, we have some of the coolest action figures and ships for some cool down time.

Leia’s light Blaster Laser Tag – Target training, team and individual round robin tournaments. Get ready to wear your laser tag armour and equipment and enter into the arena with your team!

Ceremony– Reciting the oath, receiving their camp T-shirt, earning daily and weekly prizes. We are putting on a grand final graduation ceremony!!. (Parents welcome to come watch!)
Surprize visits from their favorite charters. Prepare for battle!
