Awesome Kids Birthday Party Ideas and tips. I quite often get asked what
makes a great party. Here’s a few tips I have learned over the year
performing at hundreds of birthday parties at Young Wizards Academy. Link here:
Kids Birthday Parties Coquitlam
1.
Your
Space: Weather it be your living
room to a Coquitlam or Port Coquitlam Rec Center room or park, it’s best if you
have the birthday party performer arrive in an open space. Quite often I arrive and mom has taken out
the coffee table from the room and pushed the couches back to the wall. This is
usually enough space to host 10 to 12 kids comfortably. Downstairs Rec rooms are nice as long as you
put away the toys and video games and its distracting for the kids and the
performer has to work harder to create entertainment. Rec centers are great as their rooms are
bigger just be sure to keep chairs and tables off to the side and leave an open
space for the kids to sit or move around.
2.
Timing: It’s best to have the guests arrive before
the entertainer as most entertainers have a grand entrance to the party. You
are paying allot of money so you don’t want the entertainer standing around
waiting for kids to arrive. It’s usually
best to have the entertainment first then go into food and cake and
presents. That seems to be the usually
timeline that parent follow. On some occasions
if it’s a late party like 5pm start time kids might need to be fed first as
their attention is limited around that time without food.
3.
Entertainment
: Look for an entertainer that has
good communication with you responds back to your requests and answers all your
question in regards to the birthday shows. That
way you can get a good idea of their personality and passion level for what
they do and how they will be with kids.
