Awesome Kids Birthday Parties! Coquitlam

Awesome Kids Birthday Party Ideas and tips. I quite often get asked what makes a great party.   Here’s a few tips I have learned over the year performing at hundreds of birthday parties at Young Wizards Academy. Link here:  Kids Birthday Parties Coquitlam

1.       Your Space:  Weather it be your living room to a Coquitlam or Port Coquitlam Rec Center room or park, it’s best if you have the birthday party performer arrive in an open space.  Quite often I arrive and mom has taken out the coffee table from the room and pushed the couches back to the wall. This is usually enough space to host 10 to 12 kids comfortably.  Downstairs Rec rooms are nice as long as you put away the toys and video games and its distracting for the kids and the performer has to work harder to create entertainment.  Rec centers are great as their rooms are bigger just be sure to keep chairs and tables off to the side and leave an open space for the kids to sit or move around.

2.       Timing:  It’s best to have the guests arrive before the entertainer as most entertainers have a grand entrance to the party. You are paying allot of money so you don’t want the entertainer standing around waiting for kids to arrive.  It’s usually best to have the entertainment first then go into food and cake and presents.  That seems to be the usually timeline that parent follow.  On some occasions if it’s a late party like 5pm start time kids might need to be fed first as their attention is limited around that time without food.

3.       Entertainment :  Look for an entertainer that has good communication with you responds back to your requests and answers all your question in regards to the birthday shows.  That way you can get a good idea of their personality and passion level for what they do and how they will be with kids.

I hope this gives you a bit of help into creating a wonderful birthday experience.

Girl Power Birthday Parties Vancouver

So, your child’s birthday is coming up soon, and you are desperately in a need of a cool adventure theme for a tomboy 6 year old girl – well, you are in luck because Young Wizards Academy has a selection of parties called Girl Power Parties.

We hear comments like these all the time from our customers:

" My 7 year old daughter loves to play with all the boys, riding bikes in the mud, working in the garden, catching bugs and worms, and doing all things outdoors."

" My daughter just isn't into fairies and princesses"

Girls Power Parties with Young Wizards Academy have girls doing everything from shooting a bow and arrow, using a powerful wand, wielding a saber, or casting spells, charms and divinations. We have several adventure themes to choose from where every child leaves with a wand or saber and a special treasure gem they find while on a mission.

All the themes we provide come with an experienced and trained actor that leads the kids through training, games, secret missions and lots of fun adventures.  Most often the parties become a huge group activity that even older brothers and sisters want to join in. All leaders bring extra supplies just in case.   We bring all the magic, props and costumes to all our show.  That's what sets us apart is that the kids get to become the wizards not just watch.

We come to your home, activity room, common room, rec center, daycare, school or park.   Have an idea of a location or looking for a good one.  Just ask us we've done tons of parties all through the Lower Mainland from Whistler to Mission.
